LSTelnet
LSTelnet is a telecommunications package which conforms to the
standards set forth over the years by the
IETF in RFC854
and dozens of inter-related documents which followed the introduction of
the protocol. LSTelnet is designed
to access various legacy Unix platforms, routers, and other devices
which work primarily off of a text-based shell environment. While
LSTelnet was originally designed with a specific mission in mind - replacing
TI924 and TI928 dumb terminal devices on HPUX-series systems - it has
been successfully adapted to and used on many other platforms including CISCO routers, Windows Servers, LINUX and other 'Nix operating
systems.
The features of LSTelnet include facilities for:
- Session specific key-mapping
- Smooth screen resizing
- Position / Size persistence
- User color selection
- Back scroll buffer
- Multiple session initiation (autolaunch, ideal for Environment
replacements)
- Multithreaded operation
- Thin memory requirements (making it ideal for Terminal Services)
LSTelnet is typically licensed by site license or per terminal server
for unlimited users. Volume, academic, and governmental discounts
apply. |
